Ice skating on Lake Tristach

Ice skating is currently not possible!

On East Tyrol's only bathing lake you can enjoy wonderful ice-skating in winter. From mid-December until the beginning of March, the up to 30-centimetre thick ice covering 50,000 m2 attracts not only fans of ice sports, but also those enjoying a good old winter hike against the unique backdrop. The staff from the sports and recreation department of Lienz town administration take care of maintaining the ice-skating and ice hockey rinks. Ice skating on Lake Tristach is free, ice skates are available to rent at the artificial ice rink located in Pustertaler Strasse in Lienz. The sports and recreation department issues official approval for skating on the lake depending on the current ice thickness. More information is available by phone on +43 (0) 4852 63820.
